The pruning of a tree involves the selective removal of branches, and can be carried out either from the ground or up in the tree. It is a practice used to help contribute to the health of a tree. By removing unhealthy branches back to growth points, new growth can be encouraged, and the balance of the tree retained.

Chris Hill Tree Services conform to the tree pruning guidance held within the British Standard- Recommendations for Tree Work (BS 3998:2010), European Pruning Standards and English Nature Veteran Tree Guidance.
